Everyone loves hot dogs, burgers, American flags and, of course, fireworks on the 4th of July! 

At Don Duncan All-American Auto & Tire Centers, we want you to have fun but play it safe this year, with no trips to the emergency room. Here's a brief rundown of things to remember on the 4th: 

-- Always read and obey the caution labels on fireworks.

-- Light one firework at a time, then move away quickly. A minimum distance of 20 feet is advisable. 

-- Don't carry fireworks or firecrackers in your pocket. 

-- Make sure there's a bucket of water and a garden hose nearby at all times.

-- Don't shoot off fireworks in a glass or metal container. 

-- Don't mess around with homemade fireworks. 

-- Alcohol and fireworks don't mix...save the beers for later.
